I'm wondering if that was possibly the begining or the end of the material roll, indicating when it was created.

So my dealer's body shop manager saw the pictures I posted, and contacted Ford. He called me yesterday and told me it was markings made with an oil-based marker and to try cleaning them off with a degreaser.

I have an appt to see the body shop on Thursday morning. But since the markings seemed to have vanished I may hold off on having it cleaned. Perhaps the oil dispaited ? Mike

Wow, that is wacky!! Since you said it appeared after you washed it, have you tried washing that part of the top and drying it again?

So the markings are gone.

Right after my last post, I took the car to the dealer's body shop, and they cleaned the rear portion of my top with various cleaners. And now, after a few washings, the markings no longer show up.

The dealer's information was correct, these were some type of oil based marker markings, and now they are gone.........

Wonder if 30 years from now these markings would have been considered concourse correct
