These pictures were taken after the top was washed and dried? You can see the location of the markings in relation to the glass window in this picture.

Very strange. I'll be visiting my dealer this week. Otherwise this car is awesome

I have a black top also and haven't noticed anything like that.

 

If you hold it up to a mirror, it looks like someone wrote something with a marker on the other side of the top and it "bled" through". Unless the dealer can remove it, it looks like you might get a new top also.

If you read my posts in the other thread, I went through some trials and tribulations also with my top. But once you get the kinks out, these really are great cars...nothing looks like it, sounds like it, or rides like it! Wouldn't trade mine for anything.

its not backwards, its upside down.
it reads, 2:15 - 13th of may 2005.

Hate to break it to you. But Yes May 13th was a Friday. So I guess you vert really is haunted.

Thanks for all the info, quips, etc :-) The car was built at the end of May, and it looks like part of the convertible top was put together on Friday, May 13th..........very interesting.

I'm going to try to get to the dealer today.........Mike.

Ggrrrrrrrrrrr - This morning I drove my car to work with the markings on the roof. Plain as day, easy to see. Four hours later in the parking lot, I went to drive it to the dealer for their look, and the markings were no longer there :bang:

It must have something to do with the car sitting in the sun that makes the marks "vanish" but then they show up when the top cools down?

I don't know. :scratch: The body shop manager said he would call Ford for some help before they do anything locally. Maybe it is a grease marking, although it doesn't come off with soap. The body shop manager said they could try to clean it, but he needs to see the marks first......

Well the car is in the garage tonight.....lets see if the markings come back in the morning... Maybe my car is haunted
