I usually prefer matte, but I think semi-gloss would look better back there.
Either one would look better than gloss though.

I thought that matte had a light sheen to it, but not as much shine as semigloss... kinda like 'eggshell' for black.

Anywho - A slight bit gloss would keep it from looking 'cheap' and/or too plain. That's what I'm hoping for.

I have no idea what's what's anymore.

One thing I can add is that lower lip on my rear bumper doesn't match my splash guards or my V6 rockers. It's painted flat black with a semi-gloss topcoat. The rockers are the same unpainted black plastic as the side mirrors.

I think the bare black plastic, like I think the SHR panel is, would look just right.

A wind deflector for the Convertibles. Something that looks like this:

That's interesting. I've never seen that before.

Gents...give me a little more input on this back panel idea. If it was the same texture and color as say a Ford F150 bed rail protector...would that work?

Yes. That's a lot like the rest of the black plastic that's on the car.
(for anyone unsure, imagine the same material as the side mirrors but really thin)
Also I think having it thin like the bedrail protectors would look a lot better. JMO.

Thin with a plastic outer coating would be best. I'm thinking like what louvers are made out of before they're painted.

That would be urethane, which is quite a bit more flexible than the injection molded stuff Marcello uses for his honeycomb panel. I guess it would still work though. You also want to make sure the thing has UV protection so it doesn't fade.

I would love to see a grill that fits the 05+ GT but has the 06+ pony package fog lights and coralled pony. I like that grill better than the GT's. But it looks like the grille is slightly taller on the GT than the V6.

I think you’re correct on the GT/V6 grille difference.

On the rear panel, you guys would want to see it be a similar texture and color to the factory mirrors, but without provisions for the fake gas cap. I don’t know if urethane would work only because of the texture issue. I’ll need to check on that. Also, it should be plain in appearance without any detail. Are my observations correct so far?

Right on the money so far Also might want to see if you can make 2 versions of it - with and without the keyhole

The GT grille is also wider than the V6.

As for the texture, IMO, it would look better w/ less texture than the mirrors, if not completely smooth. I was just saying that's basically the same material and color. And I agree with the key hole option. (not sure wich one I'd want though.

On a side note, does anyone know if the Shelby spoiler utilizes the 4 factory holes or does it use 3M tape?

I think I read somewhere that it's both tape and the stock holes.

Bolt-on(taped on) rear diffuser between the exhaust tips- similar to the look of the GT500 and GT/CS models.

SSE makes one somewhat similar to that.

EDIT:
Nevermind. Just saw your other post.
