Hello fellas, i bought a second hand stock Mustang GT 2005 model few months ago, the car is a clean title without accidents according to the dealers recorss, but few weeks back it started to give me Airbag fault light in the cluster, i checked the car with OBD2 interface and the stored code was B2296 which cannot be cleared, the fault light blinks for a while and then it keeps ON "code44", i have noticed also that whenever i have a passenger it puts ON the light "PASS AIRBAG OFF", it seems something wrong with the Passenger side impact sensor, or maybe the wiring connecting to it,...i need some help if there is a technical fellow here,..how do i diagnose the spoiled piece or wire? Help please..

 

A regular obd reader cant access the air bag system. So you wont get all or any of the codes if you try to with a generic reader. You need either a snapon scanner or a ids from ford.

Pretty much saying your gonna have to take it in. Body shops can read the codes.
