squeak in my drivers seat
i recently got around to making my mustang practically 100% rattle free thanks to TMS but now i have a rattle that just cannot be reached. it sounds as if there is a squeaky spring in my drivers seat right in the middle of my back. if i rock back and forth you can hear it plain as day. anyone know if possibly the factory warantee would cover such a thing? i thought id ask on here to see if anyone else has had the same problem.

I have the same problem with my drivers seat as well if you press back in a certain spot..about middle of the back seems to happen with warmer temps with mine. Yes Warranty will cover it ,unfortunatly I'm out of warranty so I guess I'll be taking the seat apart myseft to fix it eventually.

Mine does this as well and I think I am onto the problem. I have to confirm though. If you move the drivers seat forward all the way there is a plastic cover on the rear of the seat tracks on the floor. My outboard cover squeaks pretty bad when moved a bit. (noticed when vacuuming the rugs).
So, I am going to hit it with a little silicone grease or spray on the squeaky spots and see what happens.

I have been looking for a solution to this noise since dec 2004. Silicone, grease, WD-40 have not helped. Mine only makes the noise at idle in drive. I'm going to remove the seat and try adding small pads in various locations.

i know it is inside the seat only because if i sit in it and reach around back and press i can make it stop. it is def going to require removing the leather to fix the problem but just as long as it is under warantee i could care less.

I had a squeak that I couldn't place, but it turned out to by my seatbelt recepticle rubbing against my seat as it rotated.

My seat belt receptacle squeaks against the side of my seat also, a small piece of felt fixed it right up. Sounded more serious until I realized it was just squeaking against the pleather.
