Spark plug torque spec
I've been all over the net searching for an answer.
No one seems to give a straight answer.
I want to install NGK Gpower platinum spark plugs.
What is the torque spec to tighten them?
Is it 13lbs, 25lbs, something different?
This will be my first time doing this.
Thanks.

Did you search this forum? that's exactly how I found out the torque specs are 25 ft lbs torque.
Edit: Disregard the 25ft lbs torque, as those are specs for the 2005-early 08 4.6 3valve GT. I have no idea what the specs are for V6 cars.

According to the 2005 shop manual here, for the 4.0L:

It's 13 lb-ft of torque. Not all that much. Spark plugs generally aren't very torqued down.

I also found this if anyone needs it

I guess it's a good idea to use a torque wrench and a number; but without this reminder I'd probably just go with "tight, but not too tight" . . . in other words, do it by hand until it feels about right for aluminum threads
