This may make you feel a little better, at lease give you
some hope.

For a couple weeks the ERL was telling me "As of April 2nd
your car is scheduled to be built the week of March 28th"

then finally on April 6th she changed her tune to the car had
been shipped by rail. At this point, I figured I had a couple
more weeks of waiting. I got the call Friday April 8th to come
pick up my 2005 Mustang Gt.

Hope it works out as well for you.

My ERL status finally changed to "As of April 8th, your vehicle has been shipped by convoy carrier".

Is there still a chance it can get held up in QA?

Dealers get a kickback for higher APR's?? OMG If I had known that I never would've have signed the deals I did for my last two cars. This really bites. Thanks for the info though.

I'm in Virginia, I believe our cars are shipped by
train to NC, then trucked up to us.

Yea the ERL was always behind the times for me too, usually almost a week whenever I checked.

Heck as far as I know it probably still says shipped via convoy and I've had the car since March 22nd

Don't be too upset. Banks will also offer lower rates to dealerships than they will advertise to the general public. Dealerships can be a big source of 'leads' for banks. Think of the dealership as your loan broker, sometimes they'll get you a better rate than you could've gotten on your own.

What does Ford Credit kick back to dealers for people that get 0% APR?

Dustin, hang in there man. We spent last weekend looking all over the rail yards trying to catch a glimpse of ours. Finally arrived at the dealer Monday, after I had boarded a plane for a business trip.

I have no idea where the "rail yard" in NH is. My guess is they go to Worcester, MA like UPS but I'm not sure.

I'm just pissed cuz if it don't get here by the 22nd I'm gonna lose out on 4.25% financing
Not if you have the VIN #. Just have the Dealer fax you the Purchase Order and with that you can get the Bank draft. Then your loan is done and you are locked into the rate. I did this and had the draft (basically a check from the Bank) for about 2 weeks before the car showed up. Then just give them the draft at closing. Now GO!!
