I have never been able to get my order number from my dealer, so I have been trying to get order status using my VIN. Darn thing screws up my number every time...it never understands me. Any suggestions? Do you think if I tranfer to an analyst they will tell me the order number if I give them the VIN?

 

You asked your dealer for a copy of the DORA and/or Vehicle Order Confirmation (VOC) and they will provide you with neither one? They should have no problem giving you a copy of the VOC, just say you want a copy to make sure they put the order correctly into the system.

 

They gave me a VOC when I ordered, but the order number is not recognized by ERL. Some folks in the forum state that sometimes the order number changes once it gets sent to Ford.

 

Speak to it like it speaks to you. Slow and articulate each letter/number. You sound so stupid but it works.

 

Are you dropping the letter in the dealer number and just saying the five digit #?

Just checked on mine 10 minutes ago and it went smoothly. Still CLEAN & UNSCHEDULED and I ordered mine on 05/01/06 !!!!!!

 

It understands my dealer#, just not the VIN. When it says it back to me it mixes up the letters.

 

It'll happen soon, I ordered 4-26 and didn't get serialized until 7-13!!!

 

Call your dealer and get your order number. A 4 digit code will be much easier for the ERL to understand.

 

I had that problem with my first order. The number must have changed. I went back to the dealer, but they gave me the same order number that the ERL didn't like. That was my 06 order which I cancelled because I was in an accident and didn't drive anything more than a bed for 5 monthes! The 07 that I just ordered works fine with the ERL.
