Tony,

When mine ran good, it was a great little car..totally kicked the crap out of the 98 GT I had prior to it with very little loss in performance. But after putting a new clutch in at 50K (3rd car at the time with a stick), the DSI cable breaking 3-4 times and the intake breaking 2 times, the ABS sensor going bad and whole host of other problems with it, it needed to go!

Feel free to quote me on this maybe Ford should use it as a slogan in an advertising campaign.
Don't get me wrong, I love my GT, but you can't beat the 40mpg that my Honda gets me driving to/from work! It doesn't give me near the pleasure to drive, but it makes my wallet happy!

Sounds like you had all the SVT issues in one car!! That would change you outlook for sure!

My Bro's 05 Focus has been perfect knock on wood. My Mazda 3 gets some pretty insane milage but I just don't like driving it anywhere near as much as I used to since my GT showed up.

Just from my brief experience with it, it would appear my C&L and Diablo 91 tune is giving me better milage despite a bit of jumping on it here and there to "test". I'll watch the amount of KMs I get fairly closely.
