After driving around long enough to smell it, stop and let your car idle for a few minutes, and see if anything drips down, below the engine area.

Well I'm not sure I have an answer for you but I'd think that maybe you've got an issue with an engine gasket. In order for anti-freeze to burn up in the engine (without the engine overheating), I'd think there may be a leak from the cooling system into the inner workings of the engine.

I just bough a brand new King Ranch F150 4x4 to keep my Mustang company. I noticed a strong anti-freeze smell everytime I turned the heat up.

I am going to take it to the dealer and have them check it out. I am wondering if it is in the heater core under the dash.

I just turned 1000 miles on it. No antifreeze smell in my Vert though!

Get it checked out! If it's an external leak burning on the manifold/headers you'll be lucky - even if a head gasket is leaking. It could be a cracked head allowing antifreeze to get into the cylinder and burning (smell out the tailpipe) - that would be very bad. I'm guessing it's a gasket leak as you have been driving a while and these leaks tend to start slow and get worse fast.

Hope it's something relatively simple - but check it out ASAP.

It could be something as simple as an incorrectly installed freeze plug in the block causing the leak.

Or even as simple as the resivoir cap is not tight.

I'm not sure if you said it was the smell of anti-freeze or not. SO if it does not smell like anti-freeze than i wonder if you had your Tang undercoated? If you did than this might be the smell you are smelling. My Tang gets pretty hot after a drive and I can feel alot of heat when I park it more than any of my other cars. And it smelled when I frist got it but it was the undercoating, it goes away after a short while. Good Luck I hope you figure it out.

On my last mustang , the hole that the water from the A/C drained from was over the exhaust pipe and that would smell like anti-freeze when it drained on it. Were you running the A/C before you smelled it ...

Ok I've watched the Temp Guages & Oil Everything seems ok there.. Nothing is overheating... & I've run my car a lil hard so i wouldn't think that i would be gettin the new car smell with 14k Miles on it would i? & The White Smoke once it starts up i get white smoke coming out of the exhaust but that may only last a mintue... Umm.. Going to check serveral things tomorrow.. Planned on waxin.. her tomorrow in a Garage up at my friends but i maybe be doing more than that.. I roll with my windows down & my heat running pointed on me.. so basicly my Heat is always running..

If it smells like the sweet smell of antifreeze, it probably is. My '99 had a burning oil smell coming into the cabin at certain times, but the dealer never found it.

Have you looked all over and under the engine for signs of antifreeze? There are several places it can be coming from.
I'd let the dealer look for it on a lift.
