Silver or Mineral Gray

I checked out an '05 Mineral Grey GT the other day. It was gorgeous! It had a lot of shine, but I did notice two things. First, the color was close enough to the Bullit wheels to look like an intended match. Except it didn't. The wheels were more silvery, and actually made the Mineral Grey look browner. I thought that it did shine and have depth (2005muzzy), but the wheels didn't match or contrast. They should do one or the other. (Maybe get the optional wheels?) Second, I thought the car showed too much orange peel. Satin Silver would show this off less, but I like both. I viewed the car in the showroom, so maybe the orange peel wouldn't have shown up as badly in the sun? I'm having trouble deciding between the Grey and Sonic Blue. Good luck..

Even thought my wife ordered Mineral Grey. It arrived this pasted Friday, I never saw it because the G-S-Manager turned into a real Bastard and I left the dealership. He would not accept our X-plan but he would A-plan and insisted an aftermarket alarm is being placed on the car, even thought we ordered Active Anti-Theft. :bang:
Anyway after seen both colors at another dealer over the weekend, the Satin-silver looks better and I think that is what color we will be looking for. No need for the car till spring, seeing how we can't have the one we ordered.

Dude Mineral Grey for sure. When I was looking at 01 & 02's in 02 my 1st choice was Silver & Mineral Grey was my 2nd choice. However I got the Mineral Grey & LOVED it. Now my choices are reversed. So, IMO I would take the Mineral Grey over Silver anyday.

I was down to Torch Red or Mineral Grey. After seeing the brochure from the dealer I went with Mineral Grey. Hope it looks as good in person. But I'm more interested in what's under the hood. Never owned anything close to 300 hp!!!

Dude... of course you know only you can answer your own question, but I just saw a Satin Silver GT w/red interior (mine will be SS w/light graphite) and I had to pick my jaw up off the floor! No joke. Absolutely gorgeous. No doubt.

Mineral grey is beautiful. Pics do not do many of the metallic colors justice, and MG is no exception. Definitely take a look at one in person before deciding.

I was on the fence about torch, black, or mineral grey. Went with the mineral grey. Still haven't gotten it in yet, though it was "shipped" on 10/2. Really glad I sold my jeep last week. :bang: :bang:

I didn't like satin silver until I saw it in person,
Mineral grey is not the color for me, I don't like the copper shift, somehow it just seems to looks dirty all the time.
The ideal for a darker grey would have been a titanuium or Gunmetal gray.

And one of the things I loved about it was the compliments I got on the color. It was almost always shifting colors from gold, to brown, to grey. It was pretty awsome.
And I don't know who said that there was no depth or reflection in the color but that's not the case at all. Here's a pix of the color on what was my 02:
