Yes, there are atleast 2 other post's where people have either painted the entire mirror or the upper half.

I agree, most car companies offer body colored mirrors on their top model. I think it's a shame Ford didn't have body colored mirrors on the GT atleast. It just gives it a more upscale, finished look.

It doesn't keep me up at night or anything but if they introduce body colored mirrors on the future models I'll definately replace my unfinished mirrors.

What kinda rims are those John? Also, I'm having the top portion of my mirrors painted beginning Monday, along with a hood blackout and front splitter painted and installed....ALL of that was only gonna run me a bit over 500, so painting the side mirrors can't be all that expensive....they definitely look better with some paint on them...

John,

The rims are Exel dl-46 19"x8" 45 mm offset in Hyperblack finish. Got them at
www.wheelmax.com - They were the right size, look and price ..

The mirrors look better painted, imo. But I do wish they were smaller and a
little more shapely.

I'm not sure that the statements about car companies offering body color mirrors only on their upper end cars are correct. Even the 87 ford probe had body color mirrors. My step dad refuses to get rid of his and I see it in his garage everytime I go.

05SatinGT,

Thats really nice, you are sporting my favorite color. Almost makes me want to go pick up a silver one right now instead of waiting for titanium in 2006. However, I have a silver GT vert right now and I wanted something a bit different. Unfortunately I will only buy in light metallic and legend lime/windviel just don't appeal to me.

Also, the unpainted washer squirters really ruins the hood. Better yet, put them in the cowl where they belong.
there was a guy on this site that found matching "squirters" that you can buy from a parts department that belong on some lincon model. He said it was an easy snap in installation. they come in satin silver and I don't know what other colors.

I realize you think they should come like that from the factory but I'm just trying to help

On another tread, someone went to a Lincoln (try LS) dealer and got washer nozzles that match the color of their Mustang.
A really good body shop can paint the mirrors but not remove the texture.

Also .. I had the body shop sand the mirrors smooth ... there is no texture ..
