Shaker twins but Mustang small in comparison
My Mustang GT/CS always drove large compared to my low riding Trans Am but my new ride makes the Mustang seem small. Just picked up a new Challenger and it not only weighs about 500 pounds more but drives like it too. An awesome machine but how much larger are these cars going to get??

So many choices too. It's amazing what Dodge offers. My friend has a 6 cylinder which is peppy but it's rather 'Plain Jane' in appearance. You really start getting into the appearance packages with either V8 Hemi engine. After test driving the 5.7L Hemi I knew it would be enough for me as it was quicker than my Mustang and I just don't need another 100 HP for the way I drive my cars now at 66 years of age. Yeah, when I had my old Mopars when I was in my 20's I would shoot myself for saying that. I really like the Shakers and always have so that was a must. The side stripes bring me back to the 1970's Challengers and Cudas. The performance handling package was also a must as many reviews said the Challenger was not equal to the Mustang or Camaro if you opted out. I checked all the options I wanted plus the Go Mango color since the Sublime was not available this year. Very pleased so far. I would have definitely bought a new Mustang but I'm not ready to give up my GT/CS, and having two Mustangs wasn't right for me either. It's cool having one of each from the old 'Big 3'.
Love the shaker, I want one on my mustang but think it look weird on the 2013 hood. Anyways, I am also a huge challenger fan, fantasic cars still hold somewhat true to the original body lines like the s197 (sorry s550 just doesn't fit the bill imo) When I got the challenger I needed the shaker. Lease will be up on it this spring, think im going to swap the 5.7 car for a 6.4 shaker. Only thing I wish on the challengers is that they put a lopeyier cam in as this doesnt shake like the old ones, wish there was a way to make em shake at idle like the old ones. On last thing love the active exhaust on the 2017+ models really screams when you get into the high rpm bands.

Very nice looking Challenger there NC07GTCS. Always loved your CS, and the new Challenger is perfectly awesome. Love both of your cars!
But, I could do two and maybe more Mustangs. (S197 GT500 & 2019 or 2020 GT350 & maybe even the new Mach 1) Even two S197s if the second was a GT500. I am pretty sure I would be living alone if I bought another though. My better half told me I would have to sleep in it when I was dealing on a second.
I guess am going to have to be happy with what I have now.

Thanks! We really like it here. 18 years now (retired in '02) after living our entire lives in FL. Keeping the cars 'new' is hard work as everyone here knows. Constant detailing and not skipping anything. Having the cars in a garage is key. The elements take too much of a toll over time if no garage. I am impressed with the paint lasting so well on both the nearly 20 year old Trans Am and 13 year old GT. We'll see if the Dodge can hold up as well over time (and if I do too. It's getting tough).

Thanks! Clingman's Dome will be closing soon for the winter months so you were able to catch it in time. I bet it wasn't very crowded either which makes it so peaceful.
We'll be going through the park in early December, provided the weather cooperates, to do our annual Christmas shopping at the outlets in Pigeon Forge / Sevierville. If you ever get the chance to see the Xmas lights in Pigeon Forge, it is amazing. Even the medians are decked out with themes. The atmosphere is wonderful, topped off with fresh hot Krispy Kremes as we head home.

It was still pretty crowed. We live on the Tennessee side. My GPS said the Dome is 77 miles from my house in Clinton. On the way up they were large amounts of 'ice' on the banks of the road in many areas. Traffic in Gatlinburg was very bad (as always). Traffic in Pigeon Forge wasn't very bad. We took a helicopter ride (5 minutes) on our way home in Pigeon Forge. First time for me and my wife. We are going back for another 'long ride' in the spring, I think it's a 50 mile ride. When we got home my 2011 v6 Mustang still had a little more than a half of a tank of gas left. Gas mileage was showing 22.7mpg on the display gauge.
