Does anyone know if you can adjust the volume of the subwoofers in the doors of the shaker 500 without affecting the base of the other speakers? Does either the shaker 500 or the 1000 have a subwoofer control?
I'm waiting on my GT and second quessing my choice of opting for the Shaker 500 as I like alot of boom for the music I listen to, I just wasn't willing to shell out an extra $2000 for the shaker 1000 at the time I ordered my stang.

When your in the build and price Cnd Ford it is $1,995.00 for the Shaker 1000. but its only one Woofer in the back I would have thought for that kinda mula there would be a left and a right so as we could be deaf in both ears not just one. Now if only they had an aout cut out for emegency vehicles in range ?

sorry $1975.00 I'll try to swing in and ask about the fade conrolon the Woofer today as I'll need to know I'm sure , there should be something on or in the units controls to do this my JVC has it as well most new top end components.

Guys - I have the Shaker 500 unit and the only adjustment I have found so far is the Bass via the headunit - don't know if there is a seperate sub adjustment hidden somewhere or not - knowing Ford I doubt it. Would line level adjusters installed in the feeds to the subs do it?
Good Luck
Oh, there is a thread hear that has a pic of the rear of the head unit and it does not indicate any adjsutment there either and I have had both door panels off and did not see any adjustments near the subs either......

I went with the Shaker 500 instead of the 1000 because I knew that I could spend less money and get just as good if not better sound.
I added Kenwood eXcelon 6x8's ($300) for the front doors and rear deck. Also added an Audiobohn 10" powered sub ($249) in the trunk.
For $500 is sounds pretty darn good.

What's the model number for the Kenwoods? I'm looking for a good 6x8 repalcement speaker.
I also added a 10" JL Audio sub in trunk...Sounds very good but i need better sounding highs to go with it.

Does the Shaker 500 sound good? 500watts of power it should sound pretty awesome. What about the door subs? Do they get a good thump? When you crank up the base do the subs end up overpowering the rear speakers? or is it even?
Any comments on quality of the sound from the Shaker 500 would be appreciated.

I have the Shacker 500, and for a factory system it sounds good. But if your wanting a thump, you'll get one but it's no where as good as an aftermarket system like a 10" boozukaa tube. But just like anyother Ford the higher you raise the volume the more it will get distorted. But with the Shacker 500 you can control weather you want the sound, such as the base to come out more through the front speakers or the rear speakers. Ford may say that the subs are 500 watts but its peak power is probably something low like 50 or less or maybe more. Ford and other companies just say that to get people to buy it.

Thanks Louis...makes the Shaker 500 sound decent. I'd get the Shaker 1000 before an aftermarket anyday...just for the collector value of original equipment...but $2000 Canadian is alot of extra coin. I'm hoping the 500 will do me proud!

Hey Brad..do you know if the shaker 500 has enough power to foot one 10" sub in the trunk? or does it even have an output for one?

I have read that the rear deck speakers are limited in that Ford on ran midrange and bass to these speakers (IIRC that is).
