 05 GT with medium parchment leather interior... It has gotten warm out and my seats (front passenger and driver) are continually becoming loose, the clip "widget-thing-a-ma-bob" bar (about 12 inches long) keeps coming off the metal bar it is allegedly supposed to attach to.... I keep putting it back and lo and behold a couple of days later, there it is loose with the upholstery hanging...

Anybody got a permanent fix?

that has been an issue on Ford seats for quite some time, mostly on the truck seats, its a nylon channel that is sewn to the seat cover and slipped over a metal edge under the seat, an easy fix is to take the seat out and drill a pilot hole and put a #8 screw in the channel to lock it in place.

I keep having the same issue, it stinks. You would think they would devise some better way than a plastic clip on a piece of metal

I'm having the same issue with my ICAP driver's seat on the car I got about 1 month ago.
Without really digging under there it's hard to get a grip on the upholstery to fix it, but it sounds like it's the same problem you describe, where a clip on the "leatherette" cover has come unhooked from the frame itself.
Since it's not really affecting the car, I probably won't make a special trip to the dealer until it's time for the first oil change.
FWIW, this is the first and only problem I've had on the car in theese first 800 miles of driving. let's hope it stays that way.... :worship:

I just noticed that same problem with the passenger side seat..... I have cloth seats. I couldn't fix it myself, so hubby said he'd take a look tomorrow. If he can't fix it, it's going back to the dealer.

I noticed this on the passenger seat today..................added to the list of things for the dealer to fix, all of which are more of a nuisance(sp) than serious problems, but I still want them fixed. Waited too long and paid too much to let even the little things slide.
