SCT Tuner With Auto Trans. Advice

Im wondering if anyone can explain to me how to change the shift points with my SCT tuner. I have been running a mid grade strategy tune and it seemed to be doing ok but after gas went up I changed to a regular strategy tune. After I switched the trans would shift real hard downshifting into 2nd and 1st almost sounded the driveshaft was coming out. I contacted Bama and got custom tunes I installed the regular and now my trans shifts way to fast on take off, Its almost like it completely skips first. Pulling off a exit ramp today I got on it and it felt like it dropped to 2nd the didnt stay went right to third almost felt my car slowed down until I gave it more gas. Performance has kinda sucked and so has my fuel mileage. Im looking for performance drive ablility and have a little get up and go if I need it with a strategy tune because this is my second order for tunes through Bama and I'm kinda not impressed. Anyone got advice for me?

I tried looking here for the same thing but for my 07 V6 with automatic. I think I have found something but don't really know. Any help on both posts would be great!

Make sure that you give our Bama specialists a call and let them know what's going on. It sounds to me like either gear ratio or rear tire size (more than likely gear ratio) is incorrect, which is throwing the speedometer off (and shifting is controlled by MPH). This would cause a lot of the symptoms that you're experiencing.

Bama is here in the building at the number/hours listed under "Bama direct" in my signature!

Good luck!

In order for you to really dial in your tune, your going to need to pay total attention to your shift points, speed, etc and note where you want it to shift.

Sounds like your not wanting an aggresive tune, otherwise I would tell you to ask for my tuning setup.

You will also need to note how much throttle your using when you want it to shift. If your putting around, do you want it to shift, or stay in 1st like a manual would do? Your going to need to have a test/tuning mindset for awhile if want it to be exactly how you want it.

have your overdrive kick in at 60mph and have it shift back into 4th if you go below 40mph..That way it doesn't lug.
