Heck, there is a Pipeline company here in Tulsa that has been on the plan. About 500 employees. Also the Visteon Glass company that used to be Ford glass. I got my pin from a friend that runs a Hertz rental location.

Hertz employees are A plan. Some can give out X-plans.

I spoke to the Ford dealer in the small town where I live and like a lot of other people on this site have said the salesman didn't really know anything about the 05. The manager did tell me that they have not had anybody order a Mustang as of yet. I really want to buy one of these cars as soon as I possibly can. Should I order one at this late date or should I just wait and see what the dealer gets? I just don't know if I'm too late to order or not and if I should order then is there a specific color or option set that would get me a car in the first delivery? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jeremy

If you really want the first one, just wait and pick up the first one on your dealer's lot. It has been posted that a special order might not come in first. There will be plenty of these cars to go around so waiting won't be too bad.

If you have a special bundle of features in mind, then by all means go to your dealer and order one. If he really doesn't have any ordered yet, you won't have to wait long at all.

My dealer told me yesturday that he talked to Ford, and the first run of cars will be held for 6 weeks from last friday, for quality checks in the production line, so what this means is no more cars made untill job one, Sept. 7th.

Was bored at work a few weeks back and wrote this little script.

Wanted to link it as an image but the board seems to have that turned off.

The countdown is for my timezone (CST) it counts down to midnight on Sept 7th.

Thumbs up

In the Owner's Manual It looks like the Ignition is on the center console for the Automatics; right by the shift lever. Can anyone confirm>? Pictures perhaps?

Nope, the key is visible on the side of the steering wheel in many photos on this site... it's a nifty key with a Ford emblem inserted into it -- too bad there's not a nice chrome Pony logo inserted into it -- the Mustang deserves it's own key like the Dodge Viper (shape of a viper head).
