I dropped my 05 GT off at the dealer for the popping front end TSB came back with a 3 foot scratch on hood. Do I just have bad luck or is there a trend.

My friend is a service technician at my dealer.
Actually he got me a sweet deal on the car too.

He's the only one who's touched my car.

I brought mine in cuz the auto window safety feaure wasn't working properly. One of their techs backed into my left rear quarter panel and they ended up having it over 2 weeks.now I have a REPAIRED stang instead of mint condition
they also left small scratches in the clearcoat on driver door and a chip where they opened the door into something they also screwed up the plastic molding that runson the outside of door along window.

thats some bad luck :notnice:

Not many responses. Is it because of the choices or no one has had any warranty work done?

So far i've had to bring in my battery to get it replaced and didn't receieve any hassles at all. They tested the old one and found it was bad.

The big test is when i bring it in for the TSB work. I am definitley going to take a good look at all the details, look for burnt rubber in the 1/4's any scratches, etc.

How about (Service was good, Work was done, Quality of repair Substandard) or something similar.

This seems to be my problem with my dealer. The service is friendly but it all falls apart on the actual repair. As with your hood scratch, my strut upper bearings were changed and the tech left a nice 6 inch scratch on the shock tower when an impact gun socket skidded over the metal. The brake hose to strut clips were reinstalled wrong also. The replacement of my radio also resulted in massive plastic sctaches as they had the radio in and out over 3 times when their reprograming wouldn't work. Fortunately I had first removed all visable trim pieces myself previously so the scratches were contained to the non-seen radio area only.

I've had two warrenty issues # 1 drivers door handle return spring inside gave they had to replace the whole thing " No Hassle " # 2 rear window defogger I took intoday and it has now come to tier attention that it is a TSB and has to be done a correct way to reattach the post to window + set up for 24 hours the it can be hooked up. My dealer has been the only person to service my GT and I have NEVER had a problem with the work Yeh Suburban Motors but I do want my trunk monkey back !
