Thumbs up

Sorry dont know if it has ever been posted or not. But last night I was looking for a paper that slipped under my driver side seat and noticed that the crossbar under the seat was rusting. I was kinda shocked so I used a flashlight and looked more and parts of the underside of my driver seat has rust spots as well. .
I have a 65 mustang and didnt even have that much rust under my seat. I would had taken pics of it but its kinda a squeeze at any point its the crossbar under the driver side seat.

I checked the passenger side and allthough it had a few spots it wasnt as bad as the driver side.

Just curious if anyone else had this issue?

I'm pretty sure the parts are not treated/painted so they will get surface rust pretty quickly on them.

good thing is I did clean them up and rubbed some wd-40 on them to help.
Even the black bolt that holds the seat to the body had some spot rust on them?

I think I remember reading about a TSB on a Ford truck model for rusty seat frames or other parts a few years ago.

Hope it wasn't a Katrina survivor...anyone remember all those pics of the ponies sitting at flooded dealerships down there? Just plain sad. I'm curious as to what they did with them all

edit:nevermind, I see you had yours well before Katrina
