running too rich

I recently had to smog my car so I took off my CAI and returned the car back to stock, but once putting it back on the emissions warning signal came on and i grabbed my SCT flash tuner to reprogram because I figured thats what it must be. After reprogramming the tuner can't complete the scan for the code and the light it still on. I have a local mechanic that does everything for my car and I was thinking of taking it to him, but my dad thinks ford would be the best bet. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Try going to an auto parts store like Advance Auto. They can scan and clear codes with a scan tool a little more sophisticated than the SCT tuner. And its a free service

Why can't the SCT tuner pull the code? Sounds like you need to get a hold of SCT and figure out what's wrong with your tuner.

And in the mean time I'd do like Cavero said have a auto parts store pull the code for you so we can figure out what the deal is.

Also, for the future, if you have an Android Phone you can get an app called Torque that interfaces with your OBDII and tells you pretty much everything you need and then some.
It does logging and will reset all codes very nicely. You will need a Bluetooth adapter like this one I got
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0090ZJPMK/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0090ZJPMK/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00
for $15 to plug into the OBD port.

Ya I'm not sure why it can't pull the code anymore, it did before I retuned it, but after it couldn't complete the scan

Well like I said, sounds like something's wrong with your tuner, and that might explain why your car isn't runnin right if it failed to upload the tune correctly or something. Let SCT know about it.

Also, have you pulled the code yet?

Update the tuner and then see if it seems to be working normally. Code might go away and come back, you never know really.

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're having! It sounds like Bama already has you taken care of and is sending you revised files.

The Device not scanning sounds like you just need to get the latest Update from SCT, which you've already done! You should be good, let me know if you have any questions or need some further assistance.

No Worries, I appreciate the kind words! It's my pleasure assisting you guys. Definitely look into that Vacuum leak and see if you track it down! You can always try the soapy water trick as well (To help find Leaks).

Let me know if you have any further questions or need some assistance!
