Rocker moldings loose? Normal?
Can you check to see if your rocker moldings are slightly loose near the two plastic rivet fasteners by the front road wheels? I removed the 2 fasteners on one side to see what I can do about installing front splash guards and then re-used those fasteners. Now it seems like I can wiggle the rocker molding ever so slightly, and the two fasteners seem to freely rotate. Do I need new fasteners?
The only 1/4" fasteners I could find at AutoZone look very different from the OEM fastners. These aftermarket fasteners have to be turned in with a screw.

If you hadn't put the splash guards on just yet, check buy pushing the clip very hard and listen to see if snaps into place.I hope this helps.I had removed several rocker panels that used the same clips.
The two pins in the wheel well are reusable: they are the same pins used on the radiator cover.
I don't think the multiple fasteners on the bottom of the cover that fasten the skirt to the body down the length of the car are reusable though.
It's normal for the side skirts to be slightly loose; not floppy, going-to-fall-off-loose, but if you pull on them they move a little bit.

Yep, they do have a little movement to them, and the 2 plastic buttons on the leading edge can spin a bit.....mine have from day 1, but we own a Mustang & there will always be all replacement parts, so no worry.
