I've had my 05 v6 premium redfie for about a week. I drive on pretty bumpy roads to work and back and have noticed a thumping sound from back when going over sharp bumps. Could this be just tire noise? Has anyone else noticed this? I know the tire pressure is recommended at 35 and this could make for a hard ride.

Thanks in advance.

BTW I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!!!!!

Is the recommended pressure on the door tag 35psi? I'm suprised it is that high. If not, I'd back it down to 32 as it will help some. It may just be the stiff suspension and the solid axle.

Mike, have you checked under the floor of the trunk to make sure the jack and spare are secure?

I know that the recommended pressure on the 'Pirelli's' on the GT are at 32 lbs.

Thanks for all the input.
The door sticker says 35psi but I have 32 in them.
The spare and jack have been checked and are solid.
I seem to agree that it probably is the stiff suspension and the solid axle.
I'll give it some more time and maybe take to the dealer and have it checked.

The best thing to do is drive another V6 and see if it is making the same noise.

Grab a hold of one of the mufflers and move it up and down to see if you get the "clunk" noise. I noticed the same noise you mentioned. I had to adjust my drivers side muffler. After doing that I have not heard the noise since.
