Pro 5.0
Need to make sure the nut at the bottom of the shifter connecting it to the shift linkage arm is only tightened to 25 ft lbs. Really, just snug with a bunch of loctite. Even with that, yes, 5th and reverse will be a little tough until you break it in. Actually, the problem I have with 5th is that I'm pushing to far to the right which is what I had to do with the Saleen adapter. Reverse is a bit of a pain, but it's just a different location than what I had. After a bit of driving she'll start slipping into 5th and reverse without any effort. But for me, 1st - 4th are a dream!!!! Can't see me missing 3rd again unless I'm just not paying attention.
A friend of mine installed a pro50 a couple of weeks ago and he had the same issue, but he said it loosened up over time. I have the Tri-Ax which is more or less the same design as the pro50 and it was tight at first too but loosened up after a couple of weeks.
I installed the Pro 5.0 and it does the same thing but I am starting to get used to it the more i use it. The only thing I don't like is that it doesnt have a short enough throw on either setting like the Hurst.
If you set the shifter arm on the top position it will give you more leverage for shifting. I had the same problem with 5th and reverse and since acouple of my friends told me about this it has helped. It isn't gone but is much better.
