They can't just drop it to a 10 priority if there are others ahead of you. Your priority should be set as low as possible, but in numerical order in relation to the other orders they already have. Don't threaten to cancel an order because they can't give you a 10 priority. If you aren't their first order, you shouldn't be a 10 priority.

ok, can someone please explain to me what a priority 10 means? I have looked a little & couldn't figure it out. Maybe I haven't looked hard enogh. If so I am sorry. It's just that I keep seeing in alot of forums & was wondering what it means.

10 priority means your order will be submitted and built to ford before the others WITHIN your dealership. So if your dealer has two orders, one has a priority 10, and the other a 20, the 10 will be built first. It only matters within the dealership

Your dealer will need some of the other 05's coming out on their lots too. Ask them to explain it to you. Mine was ordered on 7/29 and they put a 25 on mine. I asked about a 10 and they hesitated to explain. I was comfortable with a 25 priority then. Bottom line is if they have lots of other cars ahead of yours and want you to wait, they should be willing to tell you this in all honesty. Just be honest with them and see what happens.

my dealer said all of the ordered mustangs were a priority 15

I spoke to my dealer today and he stated that my order was changed from a 99 to a 10 after I agreed that they ordered it right and we agreed on a price. I had them fax me an order sheet to show this. I'm just happy I haven't been sitting on pins and needles for two weeks over a car that hadn't even been ordered. Again, thanks to everyone who put their two cents in.

I have got a priority 18, at a dealership with 30 orders before mine, at a large dealership... Not as good as a 10, but better than a 20! LOL

read a few of the bait and switch stories on these boards,

Make sure you get EVERYTHING in writing, including the price, the last thing you want is problems down the road.
