I have a 2006 Mustang GT auto. When I put in reverse and holding the brake I hear a high pitched sound coming from the tranny. Also happens when I do it in Drive sometimes but once I give it a little bit of gas or put i of gear into neutral or park it also goes away.

I'm taking to the dealer this saturday but I'm wondering if it has happened to anyone else. Also I have a intake and tune. Do you think it will be really important to return it to stock? thanks!

 

has your OD light flashed at all to signal their may be something wrong

check the fluid too

 

I don't think the new auto's have dipsticks to "check it"

My OD is not flashing. But it only seems to happen when I drive it for a while not when it's cold. I just noticed it yesturday when I moved the car for street parking. Might no be something to worry about but I'm still taking the car in for the inspection.
