If she tried to cut a deal with the DA, isn't that admitting fault?

Not necessarily. It can be surmised that she only admitted guilt to get a lesser sentence. It doesnt help her case though.

Torrence: Does the car look/ride the same now? Is the tab all on her insurance? Glad to hear it's working out for you.

She should go to jail. When you think about it.... it is nothing more than theft in a way. It would cost someone else if she fled the scene. If she is willing to plead with the DA's office that sounds to me as though she knows she is done for. Hang in there. I am certain you will feel very gratified when it is all over.

You guys should have seen this chick, she was laughing and thought the situation was a joke before she spoke to the judge.

Car looks great. However, the bumper has a slight swirl in it so I am taking it back to the shop on Friday so they can repaint the entire bumper.

i sent an email to her insurance company Geico this morning. They called me back and said they still did not get a notorized written version of her story so this Friday if they have not her from their insured or not, Geico will make the final decision then. Then I can finally get an answer regarding getting my rims replaced. My insurance company did pay for the body work.

Same thing I told Geico. I even had her hub cap with me that flew off her car when she hit mine in a plastic EVIDENCE bag. It would not have even gotten this far if she had admitted everything.

When i got rearended the guy that hit me skipped town and didn't contact his insurance. Allstate (his insurance) told me that if he didn't file the claim they wouldn't pay for the damage. I ask what is the point of requiring drivers to carry insurance if all they have to do is not file a claim and get away with it? Finally 2 months of arguing (and a phone call to India from my insurance company to contact this kid's dad to find him) and they agreed to pay the full $12,000 in damage to my car and $1000 rental car fee. good luck getting it all settled.

Sounds like their new Accident Forgiveness policy is more like Accident Denial...
