Anyone have this problem - rattle / squeeky noise coming from passenger side - kind of sounds like its coming from the door. Its driving me crazy. I'm going to take it to the dealer to fix, but wanted to know if others had this problem, or if its just my car.

 

Oh yeah. Been there, done that. Annoying as all get out. Bloody dash would squeak and rattle over every bump, on braking, accellerating, etc. Thought a mouse had infiltrated my ride! Turns out the air bag assembly was faulty, and was causing the squeak right behind the passenger dash panels. Took it to the dealer and they fixed it without a problem....

Uh-oh, maybe the S197 is still going to be a squeaky rattletrap like the SN95? (Cue all the SN95-haters...) Be interesting to see how the 05 does with 50k miles on the odo.

 

Check the passenger seat if it is rubbing against the door panel.

 

I think it might be the window rubbing / squeeking against the car rubber(?) when closed. I rolled it down and didn't hear it any longer. However, the outside wind noise could have been covering the noise.

 

I noticed it too, its extrmely annoying.. slow speeds over little bumps. I'm going to goto my dealer soon and see what they can do.-- I've got a V6

 

I had a similar problem, I realised that the seat belt holder at the bottom of the seat was not latched. Simple fix. Hope that helps.

 

I noticed this too, and last night had my wife search around for it (since it's kind of hard to do when driving ) She put both hands on the air bag and the rattling stopped. She pushed down on the cowl section of the dash above the airbag, it stopped. That's the only noise I've heard from the inside so I'll have the dealer take a look. Thanks for the tips!

 

My airbag area rattles too. Dealer knows about it and said they had to order parts so just waiting. Other than that, no rattles, and it took a month plus for that rattle to manifest itself. Pretty sure it's related to my bulging IUP airbag cover.

Once the dealer does the fix you should be all set though
