Anyone had any issues with their passenger side air bag light coming on and off. This happens quite frequently when my girlfriend is sitting in the passenger seat. Is there some kind of weight limit that has to be exceeded or something. I can't figure it out and it doesn't happen all the time. Any help would be appreciated.

 

yes there is a weight limit.. to activate and deactivate the passanger airbags, read the manual for more info

 

Well I'd think 110lbs would do it.

 

Make sure she isn't leaning forward or moving around alot in the seat.

It will detect an out of position person as well.

I weigh more than her and I could make it go off by leaning forward and such.

If it is going on and off with her sitting there normally than bring it to the dealer.

 

I weigh 140 and if I sit funny it goes out on my Taurus.
