Just wondering if anyone else has heard that certain parts for the 05's are in short supply for those unfortunate enough to already need repairs. My brother is a parts manager at a collison repair shop and mentioned that the hood and certain suspension parts are backordered and nearly impossible to get for vehicles awaiting repair. He's currently waiting on a hood for an 05 and said there were only 3 available in the entire state of Texas?

Hi Shannon,
I could believe some parts are in short supply. A couple of weeks ago Ford announced they were increasing production to 192,000 units for 2005. The car has only been in production since September. Not much time to build up any bank of parts other than for production. I think that is normal for any car that has been redesigned from the ground up.

Hey I think thats why a lot of us do not have our Mustangs ? they sit in the lot and they borrow parts for the Higher end Customers EEEk Hope not. It'll take them time to build up a bank when they get finished with the car builds.
