Fact is no matter what you buy there will always be buyers that get that one that gives them fits. I've owned 19 vehicles over the years. I had one lemon law on me. That was a 97 Dodge Dakota (1st year of the Ram style design). The engine, tranny, rear end and miscellaneous mechanical components had to be replaced before hitting 12k miles. They ended up buying it back and I bought a 98 Dakota that had no problems. I then bought an 01 Dakota with no problems with it as well. My current 03 GT vert has been a great car...other than interior fit/finish. It has some creaks and squeaks but I still love driving this machine. It's a risk with any new car whether you get that "one" that seems possessed,lol...been like that for years. He!! I even owned 2 Mavericks, a 74 and 75. Now if you want to talk about a piece o crap, both of them really hugged! I'm looking forward to 06 or 07 when I get my hands on the new stang.

I wish someone would open up the rear end in the car and check the gear set up of a noisy one. I don't understand why the manufacturer of the rear ends would be having problems with the rear ends, if it is the same basic design 8.8 as the SN95's, except for the 31 spline axels. I don't remember any complaints of gear noise in these cars, unless they were beat on before they were broken in. The rear end of my 99 was almost silent.
