One axle-back is higher

One of the GTA axle-backs that was recently installed is a little higher than the other. I'll bet no one notices but me - but it bugs me anyway.

Is there an easy way to lower/adjust it?

I posted here for the same problem. http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=62514 My GTA's were difficult to get right also, at least more difficult than the Flowmasters.

Gotta adjust the midpipe clamp. You only need to loosen 1 bolt!!!

Yeah, loosen the mid-bolts, or, what I did with my previous Stingers. Just grasp the tip with your hands and push down several times. The muffler hangers can be bent pretty easily. If you decide to use this method, make sure that you don't lower them too much as you can't bend them back unless you removed them. NOTE: Only use this lazy method for slight adjustments. When I re-installed the Flowmasters and losen the mid-bolts resulting in perfect alignment.

Thanks. I tried the "push down" method, but it didn't seem to change anything. Maybe I didn't use enough force, but I didn't want to risk damaging the rubber hanger.

Just loosen up the midpipe bolt and do it right. Heck, you don't even need to jack up the car. You can just reach underneith with the wrench and losen the bolt from the side. Then adjust the exhaust tip to center it, then tighen up that bolt again.

I was in the same boat as you after I installed my Flowmasters. The passenger tip was about 1/4" or so too high. Because I didn't want to mess with the exhaust system, I ignored it for two months. Finally, when I couldn't stand it anymore, I took a look to see what I had to do to get that clamp bolt lose.

After seeing how quick and easy it was to actually FIX the problem (I think it took me a total of 5 minutes start to finish and that included figuring out that I could just reach under the car and loosen the bolt), I was kicking my self for putting up with it for two months...

Installed mine last night with the same problem. The slots were maxed out and the driver side one still sits a little high. I put a couple of washers between the clamp and the frame to give me a little extra clearance and bored the holes out a little on the clamps. I could of bent the hangars but, if you don't get it right the first time you have to pull the exhast off and try again.
