still C/U, ordered 1/31/05, I am starting to get worried that I will not get my 05', they are assigning build dates at least two weeks out from the time you are serialized, I think production for the 05 will stop at the end of may, is time running out. I hope I am wrong. can anyone enlighten me ?

I don't think anyone can give you a definitive answer except for Ford themselves. It all has to do with allocation and priority codes from what I can tell. At this point in the game, I think I would start looking to buy one off of a lot or decide to just wait for an '06, but that's just me.

 

I believe the MY change over occours in July or August. You should be able to get schedule up to the end of June I believe. Not sure on that one.

Did you order a GT or V6? I'm guessing a GT if you ordered in Janurary and are still C/U.

 

Ask your dealer what their allocation is.

You still have time. I don't think there is a point of no return. You may look into ordering from a really large dealer but keep your exhisting order alive and see what happens.

 

stop moaning, i ordered mine two weeks before you and people who order as far as into March are getting built----i am pi$$ed off today and its warranted becasue i am 15+ weeks into this BS------------------

 

Yeah I really feel sorry for you guys that have been waiting much longer than me. But the wait is also getting tiring for me even though it has only been two months. I'm getting sick of not hearing anything from my dealer. You know I was on the Mazda website yesterday and the RX-8 sure is a nice looking car. You can even go buy one off the lot. What a concept. Why doesn't Ford make more GTs than V6s to get the GT orders out. There are many dealers that have V6s on their lots here but no GTs. :scratch:

 

Thanks for the replies everyone, I had called the dealer yesterday, who in turn called the area rep, she said they will be building the o5 thru july, and that mine would definitally be built, we shall see !

My patience is as thin as ice at this point, I had ordered on a plan, so I need to stick it out, the dealer that I am working with has been great, they have offered me another car that they had received from a cancelled order at the plan pricing, wrong color that car was silver, very nice, but it did not have the iup, or the bullits, and I really really want a sonic blue car w/ bullits and iup, anyway , this seems to be turning into a quest, I will not give up, I am sure though that FORD in its wisdom is leaving a lot of money on the table this year with the their screwed up order process and allocation issues, customer orders should be pulled first, anyway I could rant and flame but its nothing that you all havent heard before, good luck to all, and thanks again....

 

I ordered Mar 05, got a build date of Apr 25, Deliv date May 16. Keep hope alive. I was originally told Aug!!
