I must have missed a memo or something, but back in November there was a sudden but apparently serious spoiler supplier issue, that was causing delays in orders that included the spoiler / excluded "spoiler delete".

In fact, the comment made at the time was that if you ordered a GT with automatic transmission and spoiler delete, you were going to the head of the production line.

I'm glad I ordered mine with spoiler delete, so that I didn't get entangled in the IUP delays (built 1/12/05; ETA to dealer is now 2/4/05).

But, Whatever happened to that spoiler supplier issue? Was it resolved quickly and quietly? Or is it still out there? I haven't heard anything since shortly after it was announced.

Sorry if this was covered long ago; like I said I may have missed the memo on it.
Search gave me Karpro's input back around 12/8/04, but that was speculative even then.

I assume that it has definitively gone away by now. Can someone confirm?

Thanks.

I haven't heard anything either. My dealer has been getting them without the spoiler and putting on a spoiler that looks exactly the same but from a supplier here in the states. I looked on the spoiler and there is no made in Canada on it anywhere.

Are spoilers now generally, if not abundantly, available from the dealer?

Do they come prepainted? Or does the dealer paint them to match your color upon request?

Can anyone confirm :

1. That the spoiler delete supply shortage problem was short lived and resolved long ago?

2. What is the current availability of spoilers from your local dealer?

3. Does the dealer have to paint the spoiler to match your color?

a. Or do they come prepainted?

b. If you have the option either way, which is recommended / better ?

Not sure if they come painted or not. I haven't seen them before they were put on the car. All I know for sure is these did not come from Canada like the ones that come from the plant. The add-ons that I've seen seem to match the color pretty well.

That's good to know (i.e. look like factory, good color match).
