Okay, just got my Dora from the dealer, now what? How can I track my order without bothering my dealer? I know if I can't track it myself I'm going to be really bothersome and possibly annoying, but hey it's an 06 Mustang GT were talking about, of course i'm going to be excited.

 

Now you wait. Dealer is your only legal contact. It their job to do this.

 

Also they will not even start building the 06's until August.

 

Yeah, I know that, but can't i find out when it has gotten its VIN...and then so on? When does it get a VIN, before the build right?

The dealer updates their Vehicle Status Report on a weekly basis, I think. Your order would be on that report. When you get a VIN it would appear on there. Your status (mine is unsch/clean, of course) will also appear on there.

Since Ford pulls orders on Thursdays, you could check with the dealer on Friday and have them look at your order line in the report. It will not change for a while though.

Don't hesitate to ask your salesperson or the GSM to check it for you starting in August. That's why they are there. They should be delighted to have your order. That's another one sold they won't even have to pay carrying charges on while it sits on the lot awaiting a sale. More profit for them.
