Ive noticed my breather fills up much faster on the passenger side vs driver side. I don't have a CMF oil cap, nor did I really know what it is. lol

You're right. I think thats what I meant. Before the CFM oil breather I had a lot of oil coming from the passnger side breather. It would pool in the #2 cylinder coil/plug well. Now its stopped after installing the CFM. I'll get pics for you tonight. But the driver side breather is bone dry compared to the passenger side.

Someone call my name?

No need to pull the camcover to remove the oil filler neck.

In my FI application, I still get oil seepage onto my camcover in the same area as Gary described (though not as much as before getting the CFM), and I have both the CFM and K&N breathers.

well i tried what was suggested before as far as removing the cap and installing it. never knew it worked both ways like that, but it did. so now its on with the stock neck still in place and im going to leave well enough alone. thanks again!

Glad you got it to work, John.

How often do you guys clean your breathers?

i need to get an idea on this as well, i just put the K&N Pcv breathers on last week and the oil filler yesterday so everything is still clean as a whistle. Maybe check them every week or two, does it depend on how hard you drive your car plus your modifications to the car?

goy my K&N Breathers from amazon

Passenger side- 3/8 breather part number 62-1320
Driver side- 5/8 breather part number 62-1340

As far the oil filler breather, thats if you are getting too much blow by from the passenger pcv or if you just want to do the mod. Are you asking where to get one from or how to install? As far as where to get one, google Central Florida motorsports and they have the oil filler breather filter attachment. As far as how to install one without removing the stock filler neck, removing your oil cap and set it aside. screw in the silver looking attachment(peice with o-ring gasket), then install filter on top and tighten down. Kudo's to dixie for pointing this out to me!

EDIT: http://focus.c-f-m.com/ this is the website. go with the one that is 2005-11 specific, not the one that says 1986-2011.

the same way that the oil cap screws on to the neck is the same way the neck screws into the cam cover, same style. Its just i chose to leave the neck on due to too many people telling me there is a clip in there. So instead of doing something i may regret if there indeed IS a clip in there, i took the easier safer way out.

Wow $20 bucks a side. Since i cant think of any performance issue i think ill stick to paying $8 for the identical ones at auto zone.

Ive seen first hand how much oil gets sucked into the manifold so ya the delete mod with breathers was a no brainer for me.

Im anxious to get the cfm unit tho to limit the excessive blow from the passenger side.

Okay got it in the mail today. Took all of about 25 seconds to install it. The oil filler neck comes off easy after lifting the tab..twist counter clockwise and done.

Anyway..Here is the install..Lil dirty under the hood, but crappy weather for the last week will do that.
