My car is a daily driver, and I'm averaging about 100-120 miles a month. I figure I should do my first oil change(depending on how it looks)at the 6 month mark to full synthetic, and then change it every 6 to 9 months. What do you guys think? Can I go as long as a year or what???

Every 6-months to a year if its synthetic is fine. If you start/drive it regularly it shouldn't be that big an issue. If its the stock oil its probably synth blend but I would change it now.

I changed my oil after I had like 150 miles on it or so to get all the engine break-in crud out of the system. Since you're not putting a lot of miles on the car, you might think of doing an early oil change for the same reason.

I take my car in every six-months for service since I drive between 7500 and 9000 miles a year.

I put about 55 miles a day on my car, 95% interstate at 70mph. I change it at 10,000 with Mobil 1 and Mobil 1's Extended Performance synthetic filter. When I changed it last, it was getting dark, but it wasn't bad...just a med-dark brown. Firm believer in extended drain intervals with GOOD synthetic oil, and a GOOD synthetic filter.

just because oil is dirty looking does not mean it needs to be changed or that its bad. Mobil one was tested and still in good shape at 18k on a test of a v8 car. Once a year or every 10k miles and you are still more than safe. Don't waste it only drives the price of oil up LOL

I've got just over 9,000 miles on mine (about 17 months) and I've been using the 5-20 oil the manual recommends and changing the oil and filter (myself) @ 2,500 mile intervals. When I hit 10,000 I'm switching to Mobil 1 and going to 5,000 mile intervals and upgrading the filter (no more Frams for me).

My 06 GT ( Build Date 06/02/06) one of the last 06"s built! I have 3200 miles on it! At 100 miles Changed to Royal Purple 5-20 and Ford Racing Filter! At 3500 I will Change oil and Filter! and continue that interval for as long as I own the stang!..........All motor oil's degenerate synthetic or otherwise Due to three factors Heat, Dirt-( foreign or internal particles)and Time!....When a motor oil Changes color! especially in a new motor! the reason is heat!........Yes! its cookin'.....and when this happens the viscosity changes for one! and components of the oil start to separate!........as in that 1/8'' of tar found in the oil pan of older engines!.. that also coats internal engine parts and clogs oil ports! slows oil flow creates more friction and wear!

I changed mine at 500 , then 1500 , and again at 3000.
I will change it now every 3000 as well.
I use the Motorcraft oil and filter just to stay in warranty.
As of today I have 3786 miles and I got it March 17/06.

I'm a slave driver so I expect 4000 miles out of my hamsters. Mine's in the shop today, those suckers get dirty. They looked pretty **** tired too. I'm taking them home though, going to clean them up, pamper and feed them, then let my cats have at em...
