I'm doing my first oil change on the GT and am wondering about where to jack the car up in the front.

Thanks

I drive the front end up on boards instead of jacking. The roadside jack points are very hard to use for a 3-ton garage jack.

Anybody have an answer as to where to easily jack the front end from?

Yes, all of those talk about the lift points as described in the manual. Great, but if i use those point to jack the car up, where am I supposed to put the jack stand.

I need 8 lift points, so that I can use one to jack the car up and the other for the jack stand.

You can jack from the K-member and any part of the forward frame rail, whats so hard about that? There is still room to place a stand next to the jack.

Youre making this "changing oil yourself" thing much harder than it actually is.

I jack mine up by the K-member (the big bar that goes right under the engine), it even is indented so a 3 ton jack can fit in it nicely. Then once it's up I put jack stands under the jack up spot behind both front tires. Once the stand are under drop it down carefully on the stands. Once it's secure you can remove the jack.

Don't forget the ebrake and chock the rear wheels.
