I ordered this combo car back on August 11th.

I was called today and told I have a build week of Jan 17.

What should be interesting is that a car with IUP (never, ever changed the order) is being scheduled in Jan. I've been sub to plant for, something like a month now. But with all the talk of no jan IUP unless previously scheduled, it is interesting to see this combination scheduled.

Thought I'd pass that along.

Also, if anyone feels like speculating, what is the typical wait from build week to driveway, if all goes smoothly?

With all the IUP orders we're seeing for the week of 1/17 you'd have to assume the supply problems are being resolved.

I have the same build week. My dealer called yesterday and said their system shows and estimated arrival of 1/30... a Sunday... not going to happen. He said probably sometime in the week following.

 

You've been waiting since August???? Holy crap. Do you know how many V-6's are out there? I would have people looking around for you. I bet you could find what you want pretty easy.

they ordered a V6 Manual with IUP, that was only available for a week.

 

From the way I understand it if you didn’t have your order in by a certain time you wouldn’t get IUP in Jan. Enough orders have been changed that it looks like IUP is back on track.

 

Ordered mine mid of august. V6 manual, IUP with leather seats.
Prior to christmas I was told that my order was due to be built the first week of Jan. Now with the first week of Jan passed, the dealer told me that my order has a build date the week commencing the 24th of Jan. At least I know it's getting closer to become reality.

yeah!

I've been pretty patient! haha! But i have a 2000 stang already, and it's still fun to drive!
I actually delayed ordering as well. I would have ordered back in july, but figured it wouldn't really matter That much if I got the order in before job 1. Whoops!

-jeffclever.. you seem to have been in the same boat as me all this time. Looks like there might be a light at the end of the tunnel! It's good to see that you didn't change up your order either. It was never really tempting to me though.. gotta love that IUP!

-also, i checked with my dealer to see if there were any v6 mans with IUP available... there weren't (probably all ordered)

Hopefully by beginning of Feb.. i'll be riding around in style like most of you guys!

-bookemdano...some people still believe a V6 needs to look like a V6 cause otherwise you could have ordered a GT. I don't give a poo. I want the inside to look as nice as the GT and ride around in style as you rightly said. No IUP would have been a reason for me to cancel the whole order.
And...there ain't no other V6 Manuals with IUP on dealer lots. I expect some in summer may be.

 

I called my dealer yesterday and he said there was activity on my order on January 7th. The two orders right before mine just got complete Vin's and ETA to ship from the factory on monday (10th) so mine should be rolling through by next week. Then the three weeks or whatever the production and shipping times ends up being until I see my car at the dealer.

Same V6- Manual with IUP & Exterior Sport Package- Deluxe not premium, only possible to order for 1 week so I have seen.

And I ordered Performance White with the dark charcoal interior, maybe mine will be the first Perf White V6 with IUP - Member owned on the site.
