my car was supposed to be here three weeks ago, first I heard the delay was due to a rail car shortage, Now I see its a 'quality hold", they find an issue with a car and hold others to inspect and solve problems if need be, apparently last monday 935 cars were held, as of yesterday its down to 150...so they are moving out, this is drivin' me nuts I tell ya!

Been there, done that and have the T-shirt.
My Vert sat in quality hold from June 6 until September 4.

Trust me, she'll be worth it!

I know that it's driving you crazy having to wait longer for you 'stang, but regarding the quality hold on your car...wouldn't it be better that Ford found the problem at the factory and is going to hold the car and fix it before shipping. or would you have wanted to take delivery and find the problem yourself?

Think about the people that gpt their cars and had to take them back right after picking them up.
I remember someone here that lost their coolant something like a day after picking it up, others have had other problems right after delivery.

I don't know about you, but I would have wanted Ford to make sure my car had no problems BEFORE I drove it home.

I know the wait is hard, but it's worth it.

mike, I totally agree, just bummed that its taken since jan. for my order to get built...its kinda the "why always me" thing, lol

A quality hold is a great way to prevent recalls later though!

I didn't know that you've been waiting that long for your car to be built and delivered. Sorry about the long wait for the car, but at least the wait is almost over.
If Ford did find some sort of problem before shipping the car it's best to take care of it now...before you drive it home, because after close to a year wait for it to arrive you're not going to want to bring it back for any reason.

I hope that they fix the problem soon and you get your pony home.
