The Mustang Club of America (MCA) will be holding their grand national show in Springfield, Illinois this upcoming labor day weekend (Sept. 3-5). I talked to the organizer of the event and he said there will be 2005 Mustangs displayed. Normally, Roush and Saleen bring their 18 wheelers and a numer of cars, but not this year. No surprise as they are between models.

 

I'll be there! With camera in hand.

I'll be there too. And if any of you are bringing your 'stangs, put them in the show. You have until 10:00 Saturday morning to register. This will be on awesome show! I hope I can finally sit in one of the new 'stangs. We couldn't sit in them in Nashville. Hope to see you all there. I too will be taking lots of pics! :drive:

 

Oh my God!!! I can actually go to that one!!! Where , when, I need details! I had no plans for this weekend and I only live an hour away! Please fill me in on details!! They don't have enough 'moties to express my excitement! I get to see it... I get to see it... I get to see it... Never was the banana so appropriate! And classic stangs, too? Just made my day!

 

Grand Nationals are at the Crowne Plaza in Springfield, Illinois. If you go to www.2004grandnational.com, there are directions and more info. Party Friday night, show on Saturday, movie Saturday night, brunch and awards on Sunday. It will be a blast. I thought at Nashville that I had died and gone to Mustang Heaven!! There will be a "Mustang Row" with 1 Mustang for each of the 40 years. Every Mustang year is year should be represented. Total number registered not to exceed 500. Registration closes at 10:00 a.m. Saturday.

I live just east of the Alton area near Bethalto. My wife just came home and said, "What are you grinning about?" Then she confirmed that we had no other plans for Saturday. What are the show times? (I won't be staying the night. I just want to drive up and back on Saturday.) I'm still dancin'!

For my pics you might have to wait a couple extra days. I have a 35mm SLR. That's right, I haven't come into the 21st century yet, but dang it, I like my pictures better. Hopefully Mtang78 has a digital.
