New Lower Pricing! Strano Performance Hollow & Adjustable Sway bars
The overall length is not the issue. You set one at a given length, something like stock. You put both on the car. Then with the car on ramps and with a load in it like you'd drive it, you adjust the other link so that the tension on it goes away (meaning you now have no twist in your swaybar).
The actual overall length of the links doesn't really matter, and I tend to run them a little shorter just to better clear some of the brake lines, etc.

It's not hard to tell, when it's free the link becomes very, very easy to turn. Either side of that you will feel tension as you start to twist the swaybar again.
You just square the rod-ends up when you are done. I send complete instructions with my endlinks.

With one link installed and torqued down where you want it, you adjust the other link so the bolt holes line up with the mounting hole you want to use in the sway bar. If you have to force the bar up or down to get the hardware to fit, then you're putting some preload on it.
