We polish the Marauder/Mustang wheel. But, we haven't polished those in months....and the volume was very low!

FYI- there is a slight difference between the Marauder wheel and the Mustang wheel. Not enough to really notice. There is a difference in the center hole area.

I like that wheel, but I like it on a Marauder! It also looks nice on an Explorer.

I thought all along April 16 was the date for the 08 OG, which means Kevin will have it for use some time on Sunday April 15.

Does this increase the odds that the GT will now have a GGT? It's right on the edge as it is.

It's very unlikely that Ford would sell a mainstream vehicle like the Mustang GT (70,000 units / year) if it had GGT.

What kind of Mustang fan are you?

CM = Charge Motion Plates

GGT = Gas Guzzler Tax

I believe the purpose of CM plates is to help with fuel economy.

I thought the purpose of the CMP's were to improve low RPM torque by increasing the speed of the air/fusl mixture at lower RPMs.

I got that impression from this thread. Obviously not a definitive source.

Here's some more information, but it really doesn't fully answer the question. From C&D Feb 2004:

Engineers have squeezed more airflow efficiency from the heads, in part with a computer-controlled intake flap that varies the port sizes with engine speed. At low speeds the flaps constrict the passages to create a venturi effect and induce turbulence for better charge mixing. At higher speeds they open up to let past the rushing atmosphere.
Makes me wonder if the 3V heads and / or the intake manifold are are getting updated for 2007.

On another subject, besides Vapor Silver, what was the other new color for 2008 and which colors are being deleted?

I've seen conflicting info on here and other sites, but as best as I can tell it looks like Silver Metallic (exsiting Ford color) is replacing Satin Silver (you won't be able to tell the difference from the 2 at more than 10' away.

Candy Apple/Sangria Red replace redfire.

Vapor Silver replaces Tungsten (at least on the GT 500)

Maybe tungten will still be available on the GT and V6, which may mean that
Windveil is also going away
I guess we will all know in 8 days.

I seriously doubt that you will ever tire of trying to correct me.

Order guide will be out on 14 April. Order Bank opens on 16 April. So 8 days until we know.

Sorry if I offended you AFBLUE, I was not attacking you in any way. I find you an interesting source / keeper of info. on what's coming up with the Stang.

I thought we were just BS & comparing notes. I'm still not sure what the CM plates do. I wasn't trying to correct you, I was just trying to add what info I had.

Have one on me.
