Wouldn't tick me off if an 03 Cobra is faster...
It still has a cheaper interior...would be at the time an older generation car with a bunch of parts shoe horned into a 25 year old chassis... and looks are subjective...but more people would love the look of the 05 over the 03.

Seriously though, I love the way the '05 Stangs look. But, the point of owning a Mustang for me is the power first, good looks second. So, i won't be running out to buy a new generation Stang until they either put the '03-'04 Cobra engine in one, or a motor with equal to that power and ease of modification. That is the biggest plus for the '03-'04 Cobra's, how easy it is to get more power out of one.

If you are hoping to modify an '05 GT to be able to run with an '03-'04 Cobra, you better hope Ford uses forged internals on the new 3 valve motor. Otherwise, the Cobra owner will only be a pulley and chip away from leaving you behind. Those Cobra motors can take over 900hp without breaking.

Here's hoping for a new SE by 2006.
