Yo Kevin, why don't you look outside of your general area, and if you can pin one down, grab a plane ticket and go get it? Your dealership that you have the order in with, needs to give you some concrete info, instead of waffling/tap dancing around things. What you're willing to do depends on how bad you want the car, because they are out there...... Good Luck man.

You know, that sounds good in theory, however I just don't have that much darn free time to go out and chase the Holy Grail. There are, surprisingly, other things in life and of course I've been outside my general area, these things spend like 38 minutes on the lot I've heard, unless they're free of most options, and I don't want that.

I may be sorry but, my salesman called me today and let me know they had a Redfire GT due in anytime today and I could have it on the A-plan. I went and looked at it. It was identical to my order except, it only had the Sport Interior package and Charcoal interior W/O the ICAP. I decided to take the chance and wait for mine to arrive. I think had it had the IUP package I would have taken it.

Having seen this car I know the wait for my Mustang the way I ordered it will be worth it.

I spoke with the Fleet guy and found out today with the arrival of the GT today and the one that is scheduled to arrive next week. I have moved up to numero uno. I will be the next one that is built for them and they have allocation left for a GT. YIIPPEE

Now for everyone that is mad at Ford for the shortage. Think back to things that run in short supply. Did the toy companies think that Cabbage Dolls and Furby's would be in the demand they were when they came out. How often does the local Steak House run out of Prime Rib on Saturday night early. Supplies are always based on past sales and current projections, I'm sorry but, no business will simply up production on the off chance that something will be the item of the day. Today is 12 weeks for me and I think it will be well worth it in the end.

How often do you order a shirt from L.L. Bean and have to wait, while people in another city order theirs a month later and get their shirt much quicker?

If I have to get mine in the fall, right before winter, that will not be worth it to me. I ordered in early February and that should have been plenty of time to have it for a good chunk of the summer.
