What really blows is the first one I test drove was the EXACT one I ordered. But I wasn't sure I was ready, so I held off for a month, and now I'm in an agony of waiting.

I know you guys are hurting, but believe me, there are plenty of us who were in the same situation. Try ordering the day the order bank opened and seeing 2 on the road at least 2 weeks before yours comes in. I'm happy it finally came though. I would just remind that the acronym ETA stands for ESTIMATED (or expected) time of arrival...unfortunately it's not a guarantee.

Good luck parents...I'm sure your bundles are on their way!

To all who are waiting... I feel your pain. I finally got ahold of the carrier yesterday (E&L Transport), tracked down their phone number and spoke directly with dispatch. Told him that my customer desperately needed his car and if there was ANYTHING he could do to expedite it. He told me he would do what he could. Long story short, I picked her up this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pouring down rain. Took the long way home. B) Wearing shades on one of the darkest days of the year. More details and pics tomorrow. Rene, Tony....
Yours is just around the corner, I can feel it.

Yup, you're right: IUP delays, railcar shortages, bonehead lot attendants, the holidays, the FILO (first in last out) all play a part in this ordering business.

Am I sounding a bit chipper....well yes, I got a call today after I posted earlier...

The latest chapter can be found here

A bit relieved, conspiracy theories now subsiding. All is calm

Hey PonyGirl and Tim:

I'll tell you my experience... My ETA dealership was also 12/29 (South Florida). I found out that the carrier (AAG) still has my GT in transit. It's in Shelby, NC right now where AAG has some kind of hub. It's waiting to be put on a rail car but I'm being told there is a shortage of rail cars. You guys are probably on the same boat.
Thanks for the info. I am in the DC area and I know it's supposed to end up in Jessup, MD at some point but nobody can tell me where it is now. I guess it could be anywhere between Michigan and 15 miles of here.

After reading the saga of Tony I guess I shouldn't be complaining. I am glad they finally found the car and it looks like it will finally work out.

I ordered mine on Sept 17
Didn't get a vin tell mid Nov
Had a ETA of 12-28
I know it's on a train car it's just a matter of time now.I was at work last night and the thought that my car is out there someplace, on it's way to it's home in my garage is just strange after looking forward to this car for almost 2 years now. It's almost over.

Supposedly I was told the delivery date is March 4th ( since I just ordered it) . However my dealer called me late today and said he will call all the other ford dealers in southern Ontario to see if there is a windveil blue with charcoal interior (manual with bullits and IUP) .. He said, if he can find one there would be no problem with me getting it alot sooner ..

Oh boy, I am not waiting, I am calling every Ontario dealership MYSELF !!! LOL'

Hmmmm, I wonder which is worse, waiting for your "Stang" to come in, or looking at it covered in the garage every day for 4 more months knowing you have it but can't drive it....???

I HATE WINTER

Mike
OH cmon, you can still drive it in the winter, it's not as if theres crap on the road ALL the time.
