I ordered my Satin Silver w/Red Int. on Nov. 1st. My dealer told me that they have a Torch Red w/Red Int. GT coming in next week that is not pre-sold. It's the same total pkg. as the one I ordered, except for color and it has the spoiler (I deleted). He's really trying to tease me on this..... Torch Red is alot of 'Flashy' and the Satin Silver is the 'Classy'......IMO. He did say that I couldn't hold both cars, since everybody's asking about the GT's and the Torch Red will be the first GT in Longview, WA. I told him that I really am sold on the Silver, and want my name left on that car/order. I told him to call me when the Torch Red comes in, because I would like to see it however. I fully expect that it will be sold before it ever gets here.....but if it's not, I'm sure he will be tempting me again.....kinda like the 'carrot on a string'

 

Another dealer in the Chicago area called me (I had inquired online regarding their inventory before I ordered mine) and had a Torch Red with everyoption EXCEPT the ICAP. Now I could go for Torch Red if it had the ICAP (mine is Redfire) but I could not live without the ICAP. I drove an hour to look at it however and almost changed my mind.....so I know what you mean.

 

Neal....The Red Interior is a super match with the Torch Red (almost identical if you discount the glossy paint). I just test drove a Redfire V-6 a couple days ago that had the Red Interior.......this looks great as well, just a little more contrast between exterior/interior. Jay Leno got the Torch Red on Red Int. (any guesses what his VIN # is?).

 

Leno got the second car right after Bill Ford's.

 

If the Torch Red would have had the RED interior I would be driving it right now.

I am even willing to fly to pick up a vehicle if I could find one somewhere else and I have all the frequent flyer miles I could ever use..........
