I did, I just took off the wheels, masked them off, and sprayed them w/ engine block paint (ford red of course)
You car looks really sharp. Nice pics. I like those calipers. Can you go into any detail on how you painted the calipers ? I would like to do that also, but don't know where to start. Did you cover the car fender to protect against overspray ? Did you pop the caliper off the disc ? Did you tape off the brake pads, or remove them ? Thanks in advance :worship:

I'm glad you went with the red caliper paint and not the blue I thought you were going to go with. It looks great.

if you slipped the caliper off the pads, the line would still be connected. If you took it off, you would have to bleed the lines. too much work.

OK, just remembered something. If you want info on painting calipers, go to the V6 category, and select the post called "painting my calipers". It's on the first page.

OMG! That is One Sweet Ride Man! I LOVE how the Mineral Grey Looks with the Red Interior. Can I Get Larger Copies of all the Pic's you posted? This is the First one I've seen without the Spoiler I Like, And I'm not a Big Fan of the Upgraded Wheels but with those Red Callipers It just finishes it off Perfectly!

Yeah, I thought so too. My car has the red leather but it came with the dark charcoal floor mats.

I masked off the calipers and the entire wheel well. Taking them off is just way too much work, and it looks just about the same if you do it right. I used Duplicolor engine block paint with a temp reading of 1200 degrees. Duplicolor does have a caliper painting kit in multiple colors, but this works just as well. FIRST, CLEAN THE CALIPERS W/ LAQUER THINNER. This removed any residue and DOES NOT leave any oily film. That's it, the difference in appearance is huge in my opinion, and it only cost me 6.99 for the paint. The dealer wanted $100, and I highly doubt they were going to take the calipers off (probably hand painted).

Congrats Tech!!!

I am glad you posted these pictures. I have ordered the same exterior as yours, with a Charcoal interior.

The MG with spoiler delete is awesome! The car looks even more retro from the back without the spoiler. The lines are so clean without it.

I am making the first pic you posted my new desktop!!!
