I have a solution for you: Put a good exhaust system to buffer the whinning sounds. I am not meaning to be sarcastic but with these mustangs you will always experience noises, etc...My 01 Gt was always in the shop the first month I bought it and continued to make noise, i.e., rattling, whinning, etc. Case in point, I accepted that with mustangs you will always experience these problems and find yourself back at the dealership. For me it is always a pain in the rear to go back and have them say either 1) it's not doing it 2) nothings wrong 3) we think its this (and they don't fix the problem. That is why I am waiting a couple of years to buy my stang to wait for the special editions to come out and allow Ford to iron out the kinks. Still, I will expect to have problem with my new stang in the future. Every car will give a person occasional problems. Mustangs are still the best buy for the price .

The only whining I'm hearing is coming from the F-body owners.

So does mine, that's why it's called a Muscle Car. You want that sound coming from a Mustang V8. If you don't then buy a luxury car.

You don't want the sound I have now on deceleration, whining and howling. I know my 05 already has that problem that needs repair.
