Does anyone have any remedies to keep the keys from anodizing?? Or oxidizing?? Whatever it's doing.

I'd clean them with alcohol then seal them with a good coat of rust resistant paint. Black or silver in your case.

If you apply the paint evenly and with rough thickness no. I periodically paint my grill, iron lawn furniture. Point is, I beat them both around and it takes effort to chip them. Just always pull out the hood pins carefully and they will be looking great for a long time.

What would be bad @ss is to have your body man color match them. That costs though,

the shelby ones i have are stainless. might want to look for a set. those must be alum? after about 4 yrs sitting outside all year and dd they still look like new. one thing i did do is i marked them centered where i wanted them and used a thin grinding wheel to put a small notch in the top of the pin. with just a wee bit of tension they never move off to one side or the other like they used too, a look i didnt like (i know i have issues)
