$100-200 bucks WOW don't be giving Ford any ideas on what to charge. Crazy prices on cold air and exhaust is bad enough. Don't think I would be in the market for something I can't see and does not make a better ride or HP. John you will not have to stand in line behind me on this one.

From what I read, the cover was for the GT model to help "distinguish" it from the v-6 so it wasn't originally going to be on the 6. Who knows what they will eventualy do, especially to make a few bucks.... (would have been nice if they kept the dead pedal as well...This was in the car show car as well).

So I guess I am the only one who thinks the cover looks like lipstick on a pig? It doesn't do anything at all. Extra cost, extra weight. More "stuff" in the way when you do want to work on the engine.
Maybe if it did something like help dampen engine noise... Wait! I like the way the engine sounds... Leave that fake plastic crap where it belongs, on the ricers.

I think the cover is a neccessity. It really does something to lighten up whats under the hood. However, this should not be some crazy $100 buy up option from the dealers. We are simply talking about a Ford emblazened insignia plastic casing that dresses up the looks of the engine. $25-$35 would be plenty for something like this. So where the heck is it???
